American dreams also started here. With the promise of the opportunity, the immigrants were and are still lurked to America. Gold rush is the clear example of how the dream of finding gold and getting wealthy enticed the immigrants to come to California. The West offered the land with the fertile farmland and its plentiful harvest. It made people dream about abundant wealth. It was like a Canaan Land, a promised land for the immigrants and also for American people itself.
